Putschist soldiers interrupt labor of media outlets in Honduras

Caracas, Sept 22 – The putschist soldiers in Honduras interrupted the signal of the television channel Canal 36, informed representatives of such media outlet.

The information was issued to the regional television network Telesur.

Likewise, the putschists are cutting off the electric power in several areas of the country, aiming at generating a climate of disinformation about what occurs in the Central American nation after the arrival of the constitutional president of Honduras, Manuel Zelaya.

The governments of the Bolivarian Alliance for the People of our America (ALBA) supported on Monday the return of the constitutional president of Honduras to Tegucigalpa by means of an official statement.

The text issued by the organization, made known by the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, reads: “His return fulfills the decisions adopted by the ALBA, by the United Nations General Assembly, by the Organization of American States (…) and it smooths the way to restore the Honduran democracy.”

President Zelaya went back to his country on Monday, after almost three months of the coup d’état perpetrated against him on June 28.

Currently, President Zelaya is at the Brazilian Embassy to Tegucigalpa, after surprising with his arrival the de facto regime of Roberto Micheletti, which almost during the whole day denied the presence of the Honduran President to then demand Brasilia that turns him in.
