Argentina’s President to join Zelaya in his return to Honduras

Caracas, Jun 30 ABN.- Argentina’s President Cristina Fernandez is to join her Honduran counterpart, Manuel Zelaya, as member of the commission that will go next Thursday to this Central American country, after the coup d’état perpetrated against him last Sunday and the establishment of a de facto government.

According to Telam agency, the Argentinean President communicated on Monday night with Zelaya in order to express her support.

Cristina is to travel next Thursday to meet with other presidents of the Continent, possibly in a Caribbean country.

Honduras legitimate president, Manuel Zelaya, announced on Monday that he will return to his country to finish his term after the trip to the United States, attending the invitation of the chairperson of the General Assembly of the United Nations Organizations (UNO), Miguel D’Escoto.

Zelaya will travel together with the secretary of the Organization of American States (OAS), Jose Miguel Insulza, and a commission for the return.

“I will fulfill my term of four years, no matter if you (the pro-coup leaders) agree or not,” he said.

Honduras President will travel on Tuesday to the United States after an invitation of Miguel D’Escoto.
